Rabbi Zev Leff, Rabbi of Moshav Matityahu, Rosh Hayeshiva Yeshiva Hagedola Matisyahu
I have had the merit to become acquainted with Rabbi Eitan Eckstein, shlita and the institution Retorno that he founded and directs.
Retorno was founded to help youth who have “lost their way” and have turned to drugs and other addictions. Retorno offers an intensive program to rehabilitate these precious youths and enable them to be productive members of Klal Yisroel. I have been privileged to observe the program at Retorno and have found it to be an effective well-rounded program by a dedicated and professional staff that is conducive to both rehabilitate youth from addiction and reintroduce them to the beauty of a Torah life. Retorno also conducts programs for Jewish educators on how to deal with youths on the fringe and programs in the schools to help prevent drug addiction. I highly endorse this institution and commend Rabbi Eckstein for his dedicated, selfless and professional devotion to this very important cause.
Any assistance you can offer Retorno is a quality mitzvah that will benefit both you and Klal Yisroel in this world and for eternity…
Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Lau
Those who come here learn that nothing stands in the way of self-will. Nothing stops Rabbi Eitan Eckstein and all the wonderful staff from helping. Nothing stands against the desire of the clients who come here and say to themselves, “I came to start and want so much to succeed!”
Rabbi. Yaakov Litzman, Minister of Health
Retorno is a unique organization dealing with these matters. Retorno provides a solution to one of the most difficult problems of our generation and operates in the field of prevention, training, and all types of inpatient and outpatient care.
Mr. Zevulun Orlev, Former Minister of Social Affairs
Rabbi Eitan Eckstein, founder and CEO of Retorno Rehab Center, deserves great recognition for being among the first to identify the drug problem within the religious-Zionist community, recognizing the need to deal with it and treat it.
Dalit Mor – Coordinator Parents Patrol
I would like to thank you for the incredible experience at the Retorno rehab center. The visit was an extraordinary journey for all of the participants, including an excellent presentation, an enriching lecture from Rabbi Eitan Eckstein, and meeting with clients. We understand how Retorno can be a significant resource for addiction recovery. Our encounter with clients and staff left a strong impression on each of us, and better equipped us for our jobs as parents and community activists.
Rabbi Ovadia Yosef ZT”L
I hereby recommend Retorno, under the direction of Rabbi Eitan Eckstein, shlita, an organization that is engaged in saving lives by treating youth and adults, from Torah observant families, who are addicted to drugs. They identify youth at risk and help them wean off the drugs, with the help of doctors and other professionals, until they return to a healthy, normative life.
I therefore turn to our Jewish brothers to help with all their power to this organization, to strengthen it.
Eli Marzel, General Manager of the State Controller of Israel
I wanted to thank you, on behalf of myself and the State Controller of Israel, on the warm visit that you gave us, which provided an incredible glimpse of the vital work that you are doing there.
Isaac Herzog – Former Minister of Social Affairs and Social Services
I was pleased to visit Retorno and was impressed by the management and staff, your unique treatment methods and the enchanting environment in which the clients receive treatment. Retorno is an exemplary model of an organization that has worked for many years with great success in the field of treatment and prevention in all matters relating to addicts and their return to normal life in the community. I see your work as an important and sensitive social element. The phenomenon of addiction is difficult and painful; unfortunately it does not bypass a single layer in Israeli society. You have succeeded in acquiring an excellent reputation in Israel and in other countries around the world in terms of providing a professional, comprehensive response to addicts and their families. I am proud of your great efforts to increase awareness of the difficulties faced by those affected by addiction and to promote the legislation that regulates their treatment and rehabilitation.
